The service history matters more than the mileage

On a European luxury car, a missed service interval is not a small thing. Timing components, cooling systems and transmissions on these vehicles are designed around maintenance actually happening on schedule, and repairs when it has not are frequently four figures.

A stamped book is not the same as a maintained car. What matters is whether the work the manufacturer specified was actually done, at the intervals specified, using what it specified — and that is a different question from whether somebody put a stamp in a book.

Every inspection also covers the full checklist — engine, transmission, brakes, suspension, tires, body and interior — with a diagnostic scan and a road test where the seller permits one.

Worth knowing first

Do you inspect European luxury cars?

Yes. Tell us the make when you book and we will match you with an inspector who works on them rather than whoever is nearest.

Should I use the Specialist inspection?

For a high-performance or exotic car, yes — $499 buys more time on site and a more experienced inspector. An ordinary luxury saloon is well covered by the Standard inspection.

Can you inspect at a dealership?

Yes. Most dealerships accommodate third-party inspections as a matter of routine.
