Detailing is very good now. A car can be presented beautifully and still be carrying deferred maintenance that costs more than a family hatchback. On a performance vehicle a single service interval missed at the wrong moment has consequences that no amount of paint correction addresses.
The other risk specific to this end of the market is repair quality. An accident repaired properly on an exotic is not necessarily a reason to walk away. One repaired cheaply, on a structure that was never designed to be repaired cheaply, absolutely is — and telling those apart takes someone who has seen both.
